In the annals of American architecture the John Hancock Center stands as an enduring image. Towering 100 stories above the shoreline of Lake Michigan, it is one of only a handful of buildings in the world with that many floors.
As the 50th anniversary of its groundbreaking nears this June, another important milestone is in sight.
It has become the world’s tallest building featuring the most advanced property and life safety system available for commercial real estate – The Massey App™
“It’s a proud moment for our entire organization, for the veteran first responders who have helped us build a client base in more than 100 cities, and now building this cutting edge life safety product,” said President and founder Curtis Massey. “We have a long relationship with this building and its safety. It’s an exciting day for our entire team of professionals.”
The building is no stranger to Massey information management systems, having launched the legacy Massey Pre-plan in 1992. www.disasterplanning.com/plans
The Massey Pre-plan has been used in more than 50 Chicago buildings, covering 43 million square feet.
Now Hancock’s Massey Pre-plan is loaded into The Massey App™ where more than 130 emergency events provide action advice that is integrated with event-specific information, potentially saving lives, property, and occupant “down time”, with separate prepare, react, and recover advice for each event.
All this is available without dependence on connectivity.
All in a mobile format on Apple or Android smart phones or tablets.
