One of the world’s leading disaster planning companies has signed an agreement to make the biggest real estate project in American history safer.
Massey Enterprises, which has since 1986 been designing emergency pre-planning programs, strategies, and now ground-breaking mobile apps, will be the lead consultant for multiple levels of contingency planning at the 14 million square foot Hudson Yards redevelopment site in New York City.
“This is about more than a contract for us,” said Massey’s founder, President and CEO Curtis Massey. “It represents a reinforcement of our belief that we have the best systems and technologies to protect and reduce risks for commercial buildings in times of crisis.”
Massey’s long history has seen its systems used in more than 500 office buildings in North America and beyond, covering 70+ cities and more than 800 million square feet.
The Hudson Yards is the massive new mixed-use complex that will redefine the New York skyline. The tall towers and cultural components comprising this development require the expertise of the world’s top life safety firm.
Following the performance of pre-planning the Time Warner Center, another huge mixed-use complex in Midtown, MEI has landed the ultimate trophy project.
Services will include Pre-Plans, advanced training seminars and disaster exercises, and MEI’s cutting-edge mobile apps.
