On July 30, after a month of intense planning and coordination amongst a team of 14 people, Massey executed its first-ever national real estate Zoom meeting covering a very hot topic with real estate owners and managers everywhere. The turnout was incredible. The elite panel of speakers consisted of 8 top-flight first responders – 4 big city current or former SWAT team leaders and 4 big city fire chiefs. The recently retired FDNY Manhattan Borough Commander and the Deputy Chief of Operations from Boston Fire joined chiefs from LA and Dallas, as well as the PD Special Operations personnel from New York, LA, Houston and San Diego in offering insights as to how best to prepare, react and recover from the threat of Civil Disturbances that turn violent. These events have affected numerous cities, both large and small across the country recently and the need for expert advice was clearly evident. Just as Massey did during the outbreak of the pandemic, we stepped up once again by assisting Massey client buildings to elevate the protection level of their assets and tenants. The feedback from the conference was overwhelmingly positive.
