This letter is to thank you for assisting San Francisco with three days of extensive high rise preparedness lectures for our Department Chief Officers. Your attendance at the Memorial Day weekend drill added greatly to the critiques of the drills.
As a result of your training, we are now revising our high-rise procedures. We are also going to designate a phantom box for the addresses of the Massey Pre-Fire Plan buildings. The phantom box designation will allow our Communications Center to send a special alert that the incident building has a Massey Pre-Fire Plan. I think these pre-fire plans are of tremendous value. I will follow-up with you on the possibility of having you make a presentation to the International Association of Fire Chiefs at Fire/Rescue International 2005 to be held on August 11 through August 14, 2005, in Denver, Colorado. Please contact me so we can make this a reality.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for all your efforts involving the high-rise drills. Hopefully, the San Francisco Fire Department and Massey Enterprises Inc. will continue to develop a relationship that will educate and rain the fire service through this great nation.
